Jenolan Caves

Explore one of the world’s finest and oldest cave systems at the Jenolan Caves, in the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains. You’ll be filled with wonder on your journey through the 11 show caves, underground rivers and amazing rock formations.

Guided tours of the caves are available to suit various fitness levels. The limestone caves date back hundreds of millions of years. You can discover more about the prehistoric past and search for extinct fossilised animals on guided fossil tours of the caves.

There are accommodation options next to the caves. iPhone apps are available for local walking tracks in the wilderness. Tours of the caves operate seven days a week at regular intervals, from 9.30am to 5.30pm.  Check the website for details on the various tours.

Bus tours depart Sydney for the Jenolan Caves. You can also get a train from Sydney to Katoomba, where you can get on a Blue Mountains Bus Co. bus to the Jenolan Caves. Contact the Blue Mountains Bus Co. to reserve your seat for the bus from Katoomba to the caves.a
